Which aspect of Christ Community Chapel’s culture resonates with you the most? (know, grow, serve)

I resonate most with serve. In my understanding of the local church, I’ve realized how much power a local body of believers in Jesus Christ have when they are unified toward a goal to bring forth God’s kingdom and express that in many different ways to a watching community. When the community watches us serve Jesus by serving them, it is a great witness.

What is something no one would ever believe to be true about you?

I can’t stand Christian Music. #boom. (I enjoy the music sung at church, just not the stuff on the radio.)

In what ways are you a leader? In what ways are you a follower?

So, I am the youngest of eight kids. I still feel like an eight-year-old and follow when I am around them. I’ve learned leadership skills and taking initiative apart from growing up in my immediate family. It’s not something that’s negative, just more of a default mode than anything.

If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?

I would master home improvement knowledge and skills. I enjoy doing projects around the house but it takes forever to complete them. My poor wife.

What are you doing when you feel most like yourself?

Being with my wife and hanging out with my her after the kids are in bed. I love coming home to her.
